A large limited edition abstract print by Karel Appel (1921-2006).  The print is signed in the lower left hand corner and dated 1970; number 64 out of 90 is designated in center.  At the right is an impressed mark reading Chiron Press, New York.  The print is framed in a silver metal.  Print is affixed by linen tape to a linen mat.  Dimensions are 32.75″ x 42.5″ framed; 21.75″ by 33.25″ image.  Because of the size we recommend blanket wrap freight shipping for this item or local pickup.  It is in very good condition and ready to hang. A little about the artist from AskArt:
Karel Appel was born in Amsterdam and studied at the Royal Academy there in the 1940’s.  In 1958 he moved to Paris and in 1959 established a residence in New York.  He is an expressionistic painter that incessantly explores form and raw color in his creative endeavors.  He has exhibited in galleries worldwide.
